About the role

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated teacher of Design Technology / Resistant Materials on a 0.6 fte contract.

Design and Technology is a successful and popular department within the school.  At Key Stage 3, pupils have Design and Technology for 4 hours a fortnight as part of a carousel system.  At Key Stage 4 we offer Engineering, Resistant Materials, Food & Nutrition,  Textiles and Health & Social Care.  A range of courses are offered at A level including Resistant Materials.  
The department benefits from technician support.

The successful candidate will be:An outstanding teacher of DT:

  • Able to teach Resistant Materials at KS3, KS4 and AS/A level;
  •  A team player with excellent communication and inter-personal skills; 
  •  Committed to raising standards and someone who has a measurable impact as   an individual teacher.
