A great opportunity to learn about the Council as well as improve your CV, interview and presentation skills.
Ceredigion County Council is pleased to offer the opportunity for Ceredigion school pupils to join our virtual Summer School.
Facilitated by the Council’s Learning & Development Team, the 3 day programme will be run on 2 separate occasions via Microsoft Teams, 9.30am to 4pm each day.
Programme One – 28, 29 & 30 June 2022 (Year 12 & 13 Pupils)
Programme Two – 12,13 & 14 July (Year 11 & 12 Pupils)
There will be 14 places available on each programme.
Learners will need access to a computer, a reliable internet connection and access to Microsoft Teams.
An Optional 4th day – Vocational/Apprenticeship Taster session
Learners can also sign up for an optional 4th day vocational learning and apprenticeship taster session which will be held on 1st July and 15th July, 9.30am – 2.30pm at:
Ceredigion Training Learning Centre, Llanbadarn Industrial Estate, Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth, SY23 3RJ
What will the Summer School provide?
• An introduction to Ceredigion County Council
• An overview of employment opportunities with the Council
• Guest speakers from different service areas
• Activities to help with CVs, interviews and presentation skills
What will Learners get from the Summer School?
All Learners who complete the 3 day programme will receive a Certificate and a brief reference/assessment from the Learning & Development Team which will give them something to write about in future job or university application forms.
How do Learners get a place on the Summer School Programme?
Any pupil interested in attending our Summer School Programme should complete our Summer School Application Form by Friday, 6th May 2022.
All applications will be considered. All applicants will receive an email confirming if they have been allocated a place.
