About the role

We are looking for a Relief Driver to provide cover for the Flying Start contracted Driver during periods of absence. 

When required, the tasks would include conveying children aged 2-3 years along with their parents/carers to and from their homes and the Integrated Children’s Centre at Ysgol Bro Teifi.

We are looking for an individual who has the ability to work effectively with clients and staff, and be able to get on with people in a polite and caring manner.

Children Services

We are responsible for early help and prevention services and the protection and care of children and families. We aim to support families to bring up their children themselves and work in partnership with parents and other carers. Where the child’s best interests require Social Care to look after them, we will assist the family to keep in contact.    We have responsibility for the following areas:

  • Operations: Business support; Performance management; Porth Gofal.
  • Prevention and Early Intervention: Emergency duty team; Family support service (Team around family, Tim teulu, Penparcau Family Centre); Flying Start; Youth justice and prevention service.
