About the role

An exciting part time opportunity has become available within our newly created Corporate Support Service Team, providing administrative support to the authorities CTLD Team.

The role would suit any one with experience of working within an administrative setting. If you have a background in minute taking this could be a great opportunity for you.

Due to the way the new service has been set up it could also be a great opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of services throughout the Council, including Social Services, Highways and Environmental Services, Planning Services, Legal Service, Licensing and many more. So if you like a varied and fast moving working day then this could be the opportunity for you.

Democratic Services

We play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the decision-making process of the Council, including support and advice to Councillors; PA, administrative and project management support to all service areas; facilitating elections; the communications team; translation and the Welsh Language policy officer.  Our key functions include: 

  • Corporate Service Support: PA and Administrative support; Business support including project management and minute taking.
  • Democratic Services: Councillors; Council, Cabinet, Overview and Scrutiny Committees and Regulatory Committees.
  • Electoral Services: General and local elections; Management of electoral register.
  • Communications Team: Manage communication activities corporately; support services in campaigns and projects; deal with the press and media; develop and issue press releases; manage social media pages.
  • Translation: Documents and simultaneous translation.
  • Welsh Language Standards: Operational; Policy making; Promotion; Monitoring; Service delivery.
Historically, Llandysul was the hub of the Welsh woollen industry where thousands of people were employed in the water driven mills during the industrial revolution.
