About the role

We are currently recruiting Peripatetic Care Assistants within the Ceredigion area. If you are a caring and compassionate individual, then we would like to hear from you!

Ceredigion County Council is committed to providing the best possible care and support to individuals receiving our care, and this is an opportunity for you to join our friendly and dedicated team and make a real difference.

Within this role, you will be deployed to any Council Care Home in Ceredigion as required. Mileage and travel time can be claimed when working away from designated base.

As a care assistant you will:

  • provide total care to clients according to daily routine as outlined in care plans devised in conjunction with clients and their families;
  • provide emotional support and reassurance to clients, particularly when they need to adjust to change/and or family crisis;
  • escort clients out of the establishment, e.g. Leisure trips;
  • enter daily records;
  • undertaken cleaning, laundering and dining room service.
