About the role

We are seeking to appoint a key officer who will have the skills and experience to manage and develop arrangements for the ordering, storage and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for use across Ceredigion. Current arrangements during the COVID19 have ensured that PPE hub has supported all Council services as well as the needs of external commissioned providers across Ceredigion. These arrangements now need to be formalised and this fixed-term opportunity will allow for the continuation of the service as well as an input into how future arrangements can be developed and put in place.

If you have excellent organisational, problem solving and communication skills this could be a rewarding and exciting opportunity to develop this service.  You will also assist in the feasibility project of continuing this project as well as assisting in the feasibility of extending the arrangements to provide other centralised consumables to services within the Council.

You will manage a small team of staff within the Hub and work closely with colleagues in procurement, finance and health and safety to ensure that you fulfill the requirements of this vital part of the supply chain process.

Experience in managing storage and distribution with a keen eye on logistics and value for money will be welcomed. The ability to develop and manage ICT and online solutions for ordering and controlling stock and ordering will also be key.
