About the role

An opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Service Support Team for the provision of administrative support to our Contact Tracing service on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2021.

As a result of Covid 19 the Council continues to follow Welsh Government guidelines and as a result this post would initially be home working.

Within the role you will be expected to provide various administrative functions, including minute taking, supporting the production of rota’s, data entry/extraction and general administrative support to a fast moving team who are critical service in helping to significantly disrupt community transmission of the Covid 19 virus within Ceredigion.

Democratic Services

We play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the decision-making process of the Council, including support and advice to Councillors; PA, administrative and project management support to all service areas; facilitating elections; the communications team; translation and the Welsh Language policy officer.  Our key functions include: 

  • Corporate Service Support: PA and Administrative support; Business support including project management and minute taking.
  • Democratic Services: Councillors; Council, Cabinet, Overview and Scrutiny Committees and Regulatory Committees.
  • Electoral Services: General and local elections; Management of electoral register.
  • Communications Team: Manage communication activities corporately; support services in campaigns and projects; deal with the press and media; develop and issue press releases; manage social media pages.
  • Translation: Documents and simultaneous translation.
  • Welsh Language Standards: Operational; Policy making; Promotion; Monitoring; Service delivery.
