About the role

Ceredigion and Powys County Councils are looking to appoint a team of enthusiastic, experienced and committed officers to drive forward the Portfolio of investments being developed to progress the Mid Wales Growth Deal and the wider Vision for Growing Mid Wales. The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is being established at an exciting time in Mid Wales, which will play a pivotal role in driving forward key investments to drive positive change in the regional economy.

We are looking to appoint a Programme Manager (Land and Property) to develop, lead and manage the Land and Property programme and its constituent projects to ensure success from the delivery of the Mid Wales Growth Deal and wider associated funding streams within the Growing Mid Wales Portfolio.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • develop and Lead assigned programmes and projects including design, negotiation and planning;
  • manage and deliver assigned programmes and projects within a portfolio environment;
  • lead on development of business cases for assigned programmes and projects;
  • achieve individual project objectives and cumulative programme outcomes and targets on time and within allocated resources;
  • co-ordinate programmes, projects and inter-dependencies across the regional portfolio, including Mid Wales Growth Deal and wider Regional Strategy.

Note: the post is being advertised on a fixed term basis initially (to July 2023), however it is highly likely there will be scope to extend subject to the work programme being progressed successfully.
