About the role

The following is an advert for a Teacher (food and nutrition / design and technology) where the ability to converse through the medium of Welsh and English is essential.

Mae Llywodraethwyr Ysgol Bro Teifi yn awyddus i benodi addysgwr blaengar i ymuno â chyfadran Technoleg a Thechnoleg Gwybodaeth yr ysgol. Dyma gyfle arbennig i weithio mewn cyfadran flaengar sy’n gwneud cyfraniad arbennig i fywyd a gwaith yr ysgol.

Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn:

  • addysgu Dylunio a Thechnoleg i ddisgyblion ar draws yr ystod oed uwchradd gyda chyfrifoldeb arbennig yn y maes Bwyd a Maeth.
  • cynnal a chodi safonau’r gyfadran drwy greu cyfleoedd dysgu cyffrous a diddorol.
  • ymroddedig i sicrhau fod yr addysgu yn ysbrydoli disgyblion i gyrraedd eu potensial.

Agorwyd Ysgol Bro Teifi ym Medi 2016, yn dilyn buddsoddiad o £30m gan Gyngor Sir Ceredigion a Llywodraeth Cymru. Bro Teifi ydy’r ysgol pob-oed, cyfrwng Cymraeg cyntaf yng Nghymru ac mae’n cynnig cyfleusterau dysgu o’r radd flaenaf ar gyfer yr holl ddisgyblion, o’r lleiaf i’r hynaf. Y mae gan yr adran hon yr adnoddau diweddaraf er mwyn diwallu anghenion dysgu ar draws yr ystod oed a gellir trefnu taith rhithiol o gwmpas yr ystafelloedd perthnasol i ddarpar ymgeiswyr. Mewn arolwg Estyn (Chwefror 2019) nodwyd fod ‘Ysgol Bro Teifi yn gymuned gynhwysol iawn, hynod ofalgar a Chymreig. Yn greiddiol i’w gwaith mae ei darpariaeth arbennig ar gyfer gofal, cymorth ac arweiniad sy’n cydweddu ag arwyddair yr ysgol, oni heuir ni fedir.’ Ers iddi agor mae nifer y disgyblion wedi cynyddu’n sylweddol ac ar hyn o bryd, mae 941 o ddisgyblion yn yr ysgol gyda 384 o oedran cynradd a 557 o oedran uwchradd, gyda 93 o’r rhain yn y chweched dosbarth.
