An opportunity to join the COVID-19 virtual frontline and make a critical difference to the health and safety of Ceredigion residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To support the Contact Tracing service across our county we urgently wish to recruit a number of Contact Tracing Officers to support our Contact Tracing service on a fixed-term part-time basis until 30 September 2021.
By joining this critical service you will be helping us to significantly disrupt community transmission of the virus within Ceredigion. You will do this by breaking the chain of transmission between individuals through contacting people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and identifying those people with whom they have had contact. Once these contacts have been identified, they can also be contacted and provided with health protection advice including the need to self-isolate.
The core team of the Contact Tracing service operate a shift rota system of 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. We are looking to recruit individuals who will be able to undertake a minimum of one shift per week, and who may be offered more dependent on the case transmission rates and their availability.
Individuals will be contracted to a minimum of 40 hours per month, which will encompass both training for the role and undertaking one weekend shift per week. Individuals will also be invited to indicate if they are available to undertake additional shifts in the event that need arises.
This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who perhaps already work on a part-time basis or have other commitments to make a contribution to this important work on a more flexible basis.
The Contact Tracing Officer role is a critical new role which provides the opportunity to make valuable contribution to our COVID-19 response, ensuring the health and safety of the residents of our county.

Our ideal candidate will be a caring, patient and helpful individual with good people skills and experience of working in a customer care role. You will be confident holding difficult conversations and dealing with confidential and sensitive data. You will ensure accurate, up to date digital records of contacts/actions are maintained and will manage your own workload and within your own competence, seeking advice from the Team Leader as and when appropriate.
