We have a range of Social Worker opportunities available in the following teams, with varying contractual hours:

  • Planned Care (adult and child specialisms)
  • Fostering
  • Integrated Triage and Assessment
  • Extended Support (learning disabilities, disabled children, mental capacity act)
  • Mental Wellbeing
  • Substance Misuse
  • Safeguarding (Through-Age Safeguarding)

Social Care at Ceredigion

  • Enable individuals to be independent in their own communities

In order to meet these objective we are implementing a through-age and wellbeing model using the ‘Signs of Safety’ and strengths based practice as we work with people to improve lives and fulfil potential.

We are also embedding holistic and preventative approaches; integrating services and roles wherever possible. This offers greater resilience and flexibility for our practitioners whilst also maintaining age and client specific specialist knowledge and skills. This model also offers exciting and valuable opportunities for collaborative working between across the authority and with communities as well as with our partner agencies.

Welsh Language

Whilst we are seeking Individuals with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. We welcome applications from non-Welsh speakers as a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skills will be fully supported during working time to reach the desired standard following appointment.
