We are recruiting for a permanent Team Manager – Centre for Independent Living (CILC) Logistics and Operations for our Targeted and Short Term Services. You will be joining a proactive and committed team providing effective, high quality, person centred support services to individuals and families.  This role offers the opportunity to make a huge contribution to driving sustainable improvement to the outcomes and wellbeing of the people of Ceredigion, through the provision of an effective, ambitious and resourceful Centre for Independent Living.

As our successful candidate you will:

  • Be responsible for the provision of the integrated community equipment service (ICES) that promote and encourage independent living
  • Be responsible for the provision of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hub to ensure an effective and sustainable service across the local authority and with partners
  • Develop and implement combined logistics and distribution infrastructure and facilities across the Integrated Community Equipment Stores and the PPE Hub
  • Provide a coordinated effective operations support for allied services within Targeted and Short Term Services i.e. Technology Enabled Care and Sensory Services, Direct Payments Support Service and the Targeted Care Services
  • Scope design and implement an approved development plan for the CILC site, and ICES and PPE Hub
  • Be responsible for the facilities management of the Ceredigion Independent Living Centre building operating as the Porth Gofal Hub
  • Work closely with health and social care colleagues to implement an independent living first model which ensures all service users receive the appropriate level of support at the earliest opportunity

As our ideal candidate you will be a highly organised, self-motivated and driven towards achieving personal and business goals, positively embracing and managing change. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in public sector services, including experience of logistics and distribution, community equipment, technology, and/or support services
  • Evidence of service development, feasibility planning, options appraisal and business case delivery
  • Evidence of successful working with internal and external stakeholders resulting in high quality service delivery
  • Track record of successfully leading, managing and continuously improving teams

In addition to the above, we require an individual with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. A successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the desired standard within two years of appointment.
