About the role

Ceredigion and Powys County Councils are looking to strengthen their team of enthusiastic, experienced and committed officers, to drive forward the Portfolio of investments being developed, to progress the Mid Wales Growth Deal and the wider Vision for Growing Mid Wales.

With the Final Deal Agreement on the Growth Deal recently signed with both Governments, the Portfolio Management Office is growing its team and is looking for an experienced programme manager, that can take the sites and premises programme forward.

On a day to day basis you will be:

  • Taking forward the Sites and Premises assessment work and resulting Action Plan to enable the development of a programme of prioritised sites and infrastructure to meet the needs of businesses and attracting private sector investment
  • Managing procurement processes and contracts with external consultants as required
  • Developing and leading assigned programmes and projects including design, negotiation and planning
  • Managing and delivering assigned programmes and projects within a portfolio environment
  • Leading on the development of business cases for assigned programmes and projects
  • Achieving individual project objectives and cumulative programme outcomes and targets on time and within allocated resources
  • Co-ordinating programmes, projects and inter-dependencies across the regional portfolio, including Mid Wales Growth Deal and wider Regional Strategy
