An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join a small team within the professional and friendly environment of the Finance and Procurement service. The role is to assist with the purchasing/buying function within the Council, being involved in the procurement process from end to end with particular emphasis on supporting complex tenders and responsibility for running tenders and quotations.
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of public sector tendering processes, be a good communicator to engage effectively with stakeholders, and have good organization skills to support and manage a number of projects at once.
On a day to day basis duties will include:
The successful candidate must show flexibility and commitment in order to meet deadlines and timescales. Reliability, accuracy, good record keeping, and an ability to apply processes is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct duties in Welsh and English. A successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill would be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.
