We are looking to recruit a Public Protection Officer to join our busy Public Protection service on a permanent, full time basis, based at our Aberaeron office.
This is an exciting role within the service providing the opportunity to act as an authorized officer of the Council. You will be responsible for a full range of professional and specialist duties to ensure the efficient and effective discharge of the Service’s and Council’s duties, policies, procedures and practices in relation to Environmental Health and Public Protection. This role will concentrate on the regulation of food safety & standards, and private water supplies.
You will undertake inspections, investigations and surveys in accordance with the Service area policies, procedures and inspection programmes. You will have a minimum of 3 years in Environmental Health/Animal Health or similar.
The post requires a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. Please note that a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.
