About the role

We are looking to recruit a Fleet Technician to join our Fleet Management Team.

Under the general direction of the Fleet Works Leader at Penrhos Depot, Llandysul, you will be responsible for the following tasks including, but not limited to:

• To carry out Preventative Maintenance Inspections, servicing, maintenance and repair of a range of vehicles, plant and machinery
• To attend roadside breakdowns of vehicles and where possible effect repair. Where it is not possible to repair, arrange for the movement of the disabled vehicle/plant to one of the Authority’s workshops or that of an external provider

We are looking to recruit an individual that is/has:

• City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs or an equivalent qualification.
• Five years of relevant work-shop experience
• Experience of servicing and repairing plant, small vehicles, LGV’s and HGV’s
• Required to be physically fit and possess normal colour vision
• Flexible approach to working in different situations/locations, in either a small team or by oneself
• Sound judgement with problem-solving capabilities
