About the role

We are looking to recruit three Roadworkers, to join our Highways Services team, on a permanent basis, based at our Glanyrafon Depot.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

Work in a number of varied tasks, tarmacking, slabbing etc
May be required to drive vehicles with specialist driving skills

We are looking to recruit individuals:

Who have a full Valid UK Driving license
Who have a knowledge of Highway Maintenance Activities
Who aware of safe working practices

Job Description and Person Specification

The post requires a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. Please note that the successful applicants without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.

Highways Development: Planning liaison; Road safety; Regional transport; Street lighting; Streetworks; Traffic management; CWIC/NMWTRA; Design supervision; Flood and coastal risk management; Highways improvement.
Local Environment Services: Waste Collections; Household waste sites; Grounds maintenance; Street cleaning.
