Ceredigion County Council is looking to appoint an Apprentice Care and Support Worker to work as part of its dedicated, friendly and experienced team at Min y Môr Residential Care Home, based in Aberaeron.
If you’re looking for the opportunity to make a real difference and pursue a career within health and social care, as well as gaining a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification in adult health and social care, we would welcome an application from you.
The job of an Apprentice Care and Support Worker Level 1 is a physical one, and you will learn how to support a range of individuals who have care and support needs using a person-centered approach. Care and support workers are expected to be friendly, caring and sensitive with good verbal communication and listening skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate kindness and compassion to residents and families.
On the job training will be provided and you will undertake a Foundation (Level 2) Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care Adults. Your apprenticeship qualification will be delivered online, however some training activities will be face to face. The qualification will develop your ability to practically support the health and care needs of adults and is made up of three main elements:
Due to apprenticeship eligibility criteria, applications cannot be accepted from any applicant who has already gained a similar qualification at Level 3 or above in the role applied for.
