We are delighted to work in partnership with the Urdd to offer a fantastic 15 month Level 2 Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership. We are looking for a motivated and energetic individuals who has the potential, skills and personal qualities to add value to our varied and vibrant Wellbeing Centre Service.
We are currently developing Wellbeing Centres across Ceredigion. Our Through Age Service offers a variety of programmes promoting the health, wellbeing and fitness of Ceredigion’s residents, such as Play, Active Young People, Active Communities and health related initiatives. Our programmes provide positive opportunities to encourage Ceredigion residents to learn to become healthy and active and to embed those principles into everyday life.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will receive on the job training and have a dedicated mentor to support your progress in what is a fast paced, exciting and rewarding role. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will learn to coordinate, design and deliver a programme of varied activities within local community settings, ranging from the Active Families programme for pre-school aged children up to and including our 60+ activity offer.
The successful candidates will work across the whole of Ceredigion, with one based in the north, one in the mid and one in the south of the county and we will try and place the apprentice in their nearest area. There may be aspects of Hybrid working so we may ask you to occasionally work from home. It is therefore essential that you have access to a reliable internet connection and suitable area to work from home.
You will experience an exciting, challenging and varied apprenticeship with high quality training provided by the Urdd, achieving a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership. Your training will be delivered through a series of workshops. This is an excellent stepping stone towards making the most of the career opportunities within Ceredigion County Council and developing a strong foundation of sports development skills.
