About the role

Are you 16 and just starting out in the world of work? Are you looking for a career change or returning to work following unemployment or a career break? An apprenticeship with us offers an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and develop your career whilst earning a wage!

As part of the ongoing development of our Corporate Service Support (CSS) function an opportunity has arisen for us to fill an Apprentice Business Administrator Officer role within our structure.

As a key part of the team, you will provide day to day general administration support including overseeing email accounts, data entry, answering telephones and message taking. Fluent in Welsh and English you will need good IT, organisational and people skills with an excellent attention to detail.

On the job training will be provided and you may specialise in certain activities and be allocated to support a specific service area/team. As your knowledge and confidence grows you will experience working across various teams to enhance your knowledge of the services provided by the council and your ability to step into any area of work as required.

Your role as an apprentice will include completing a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration. Your work pattern will incorporate study leave in order to complete your apprenticeship. Workshops will be held monthly by our training provider, Ceredigion Training.

Unfortunately, you will not be eligible to apply for this apprenticeship if you hold:

This is completed using the information you have provided on your application form. Please ensure that you read the job description and person specification thoroughly, as well as the FAQs on our early careers web page to check the eligibility requirements.
