Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with stakeholders from operational service staff and managers, other project managers and technical staff to document requirements and translate requirements into digital solutions
  • Work with ICT colleagues to design, develop and manage change across the organisation
  • Plan, Monitor and control the progress of appointed projects 
  • Act as product owner developing, testing and delivering Digital Solutions
  • Be a great team player and collaborator, willing to share knowledge and discuss approaches and tactics but is also able to work independently with the supervision and motivation of up to 3 ICT staff in delivering solutions
  • Investigate options for the use of new software to introduce new, more efficient business processes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an ICT Project Manager, successfully leading and delivering projects and managing systems support within budget and schedule
  • A solid understanding of ICT systems, infrastructure and technologies, with the ability to make informed decisions based on industry trends and new technologies
  • Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess project risks and devise effective solutions
  • In addition to the above, we require an individual with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. A successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the desired standard within two years of appointment

Our service has a range of responsibilities from providing advice and support to the residents of Ceredigion to providing corporate support via our ICT, reception and mailroom teams.  Our service is responsible for the following functions: 

  • Civil Registration: Birth, deaths and marriages.
  • Corporate Customer Services: Blue badge; Contact centre; Mailroom and scanning; Receptions.
  • ICT and Information Management: Archives and modern records; ICT support; Infrastructure and security; Project and application support; Reprographics, Technical support, Software development.
