About the role

We are looking to recruit a Community Support Group Facilitator to join our Porth Cymorth Cynnar service. This is a fixed-term contract ending 31/03/2025.

About the role

To develop skills within community groups to increase individual and community resilience. This will include working with groups in raising awareness, promoting and facilitating activities around age friendly / dementia friendly, carers wellbeing and resilience, as well as inclusivity within our communities.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent listening, presentation skills and confidence in talking to a range of people at operational and strategic levels both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.
  • The Ability to think, creatively and innovatively and to put ideas into effective action whilst demonstrating openness to new ideas.
  • Specialist knowledge of a number of key areas of practice facing communities in Ceredigion, especially people living with Dementia, Carers, Disability, Social isolation and working with Older people.
  • An understanding of group work skills, including setting boundaries, facilitation, and motivation.

We welcome applications from non-Welsh speakers. All successful applicants requiring support to learn/improve their Welsh language skills will be offered funded lessons, during work time, to help reach the desired standard.
