About the role

We are looking for a motivated, friendly individual to work as part of a team that provides a great experience to everyone that visits our leisure facilities.

As a Swimming Instructor, based at Lampeter Swimming Pool you’ll support on the delivery of our learn to swim programmes which is the foundation of our aquatic delivery for the citizens of Ceredigion. We are seeking an individual who thrives on getting the best out of others by helping them to learn new skills.

As a council we are embarking on an exciting journey which will see a number of our Leisure Centres become Wellbeing Centres and these roles provide an excellent opportunity to be part of that journey as we contribute to the promotion of positive health and wellbeing of our citizens.

As a Swimming Instructor you will assist the Swimming Co-Ordinator in the provision of an efficient and effective service and on a day-to-day basis will:

  • be responsible for delivering our Learn 2 Swim programme
  • ensure our delivery meets the standards and criteria set by Swim Wales
  • handle customers and parents with questions and queries regarding the swimming programme

We are committed to providing a bilingual service to our customers so a degree of fluency in the Welsh language is desirable for this post. Due to our opening hours you will be required to work evenings.
