About the role

We are eager to recruit an Ageing Well Project Lead to join our Carers and Community Support Team on a fixed term (initially until 31st March 2026, further extension dependant on funding), full time basis.

The purpose of the role is to:

  • lead within Ceredigion Local Authority on developing Ceredigion as an Age Friendly County
  • develop a shared vision by consulting and co-producing the approach with key stakeholders
  • develop, implement and update an  action plan and measure the progress of the age friendly approach and its impact on people’s lives
  • co – produce Ageing Well activities with older people in Ceredigion
  • provide periodic updates on progress against the action plan to Ceredigion Leadership Group and Other Strategic forums

We are looking to recruit an individual who:

  • can think creatively and lead on identifying or developing innovative solutions to create improvements in services for older people
  • is able to communicate effectively at all levels and has experience of presenting information to a wide range of forums
  • can interpret, analyze and evaluate data and information in order to provide a robust evidence base to justify proposals, recommendations and create reports
  • has excellent knowledge of the range of issues affecting older people/ and a track record of co-producing solutions to identified issues

In addition to the above, we require an individual with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. A successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the desired standard within two years of appointment.
