Social Workers in our Through Age Wellbeing Services work to protect, advocate on behalf of and support children, young people and adults. It’s a professional, challenging yet rewarding job that needs dedicated people.
We are looking for individuals with a passion for working with and on behalf of the residents of Ceredigion, and are offering the opportunity to earn while you learn, on a fixed-term traineeship for up to 3 years, to achieve a professional qualification.
During the first year of training you will be paid at Grade 7 salary. On succeful completion of Year 1 and having gained a Certificate of HE in Social Care Practice, you will progress to Grade 8. Upon successful completion of the Traineeship you will be eligible to apply for qualified Social Worker positions within Ceredigion County Council.
Hosted by a social work team and under the supervision of qualified and experienced social workers you will learn to undertake social work tasks. Alongside this you will be sponsored to undertake a Degree in Social Work through our partnership with the Open University in Wales.
Post qualifying you will be expected to remain in employment with Ceredigion County Council for a minimum of three years.
