About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and committed individual to join the Portfolio Management Office (PoMO) for the Mid Wales Growth Deal (MWGD).

This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward a £110m capital investment from the UK and Welsh Government in a £300m+ portfolio of key investments that will significantly enhance the regional economy in partnership with the private sector.

About the Role

As the Portfolio Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the Portfolio are clearly defined, including key milestones and resource allocation. You will lead on all aspects of portfolio planning, developing, updating, and monitoring plans and schedules. Your role will involve working closely with project teams to track progress and provide forward-looking analysis for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop, update, and monitor portfolio plans and schedules.
  • Resource Management: Identify, develop, and utilize resources effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ensure stakeholder responsibilities and needs are understood and addressed.
  • Performance and Controls: Analyze performance data, monitor progress, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leadership and Support: Provide expert advice and support to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Risk Management: Lead the management of risks and issues within the portfolio environment.
