Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and dynamic individual to lead our Sixth Form and coordinate the Welsh Baccalaureate across Years 12 and 13. Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron is a bilingual school, and the ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this position. The school has just under 600 students, including a successful Sixth Form. During the recent Estyn visit in 2023, it was noted that “the pupils are thoughtful and considerate young people who treat each other with care and respect, and treat staff and visitors with respect. They promote the school’s values of empathy, ambition, creativity, resilience, and pride through their good behaviour and positive attitudes towards learning.” “The contribution of Sixth Form students is central to many of the school’s cultural and social activities.”
