The Governing Body of Ysgol Gymunedol Rhydypennau are inviting applications from experienced senior leaders for the position of Deputy Headteacher of the school. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of leading teams or departments effectively, of improving pupil standards, and who has strong evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development at leadership level.
The successful candidate will join an experienced and dedicated Senior Leadership Team, which includes the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher. We are looking for an individual who has the necessary qualities to be able to collaborate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders, and who are highly effective and efficient in all aspects of the role and of the school’s work.
In addition to other responsibilities, the Deputy Head will have specific responsibility as head of department and as the Additional Learning Needs Coordinator.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive record of excellent teaching and learning; and ideally, an individual who has shared good practice at school and county level or beyond.
Candidates with the ability to communicate through Welsh (equivalent to Level 5 in accordance with the ALTE framework in Listening/Speaking, Reading and Writing) are required for this post. To this end, the selection panel will only accept applications through the medium of Welsh. We will conduct all interviews through the medium of Welsh.
