About the role

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.

This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2025.

Are you passionate about safeguarding the rights of vulnerable individuals and leading a dedicated team in a supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate part time Mental Capacity Act Team Manager to join our Adult Social Care service in a beautiful rural setting.

About the Role:

As the Mental Capacity Team Manager, you will lead a specialist team responsible for Mental Capacity Act (MCA) assessments. You will provide expert guidance, ensure legal compliance, and support best practice across the authority. You will work closely with the other Part time Team manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of skilled practitioners
  • Oversee MCA and DoLS processes, ensuring timely and lawful decision-making
  • Provide training and consultation to internal teams.
  • Contribute to policy development and service improvement

About You:

  • Qualified Social Worker.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and related legislation
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
  • A commitment to person-centred, rights-based practice
