About the role

This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2026. 

The successful candidate may be eligible to up to a maximum of £8,000 (including VAT) towards the cost of expenses incurred due of relocating to Ceredigion. We are looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker to join the Parenting and Family Support Team on a full-time basis. 

The Parenting and Family Support Team provides support for families that enables them to improve wellbeing, resilience, family relationships and reach their potential. The Team focusses on Early Intervention and includes the following provisions: 

  • Team Around the Family 
  • Flying Start 
  • Parenting Support 
  • Children’s and Families Centres. 

      We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional who can:

      • assist the Team Manager in the delivery of effective and efficient day-to-day operations throughout the team
      • supervise and manage Team Members alongside the Team manager
      • contribute to the decision making process around stepping cases down from and up to statutory provision
      • promote a quality ethos within all aspects of the team’s operations, in line with the legislative and Council’s Quality Assurance framework
