About the role

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed.

Local Environment Services delivers a range of services to the communities of Ceredigion. To assist with the delivery of these front-line services we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team, working predominantly in the street cleaning service.

We are currently looking for an individual to provide evening and weekend support to our Aberystwyth, New Quay and Aberaeron team.

The hours of work are below:

Friday – Monday, 12:00 – 20:00
Tuesday, 12:00 -19:30

Our ideal candidate would have a full driving licence, some experience of similar physical work, who enjoys working outdoors, and wants to help us to keep Ceredigion clean.

Highways Development: Planning liaison; Road safety; Regional transport; Street lighting; Streetworks; Traffic management; CWIC/NMWTRA; Design supervision; Flood and coastal risk management; Highways improvement.
Local Environment Services: Waste Collections; Household waste sites; Grounds maintenance; Street cleaning.
