Dyffryn Cledlyn Voluntary Aided Primary School is looking for a skilled Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team as soon as possible, on a fixed-term contract until August 2028, for 9 hours a week. The role will involve working with an individual and specifically developing language skills. We are a close-knit community that emphasises care, collaboration, and creating exciting learning opportunities for everyone.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupil learning and development to boost confidence and language experiences.

The ability to communicate in both Welsh and English is essential for this role.

Role expectations:

  • Supporting a student, in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Building positive relationships with students and encouraging them to fully participate in learning activities.
  • Promoting self-respect, independence, and teamwork among students.
  • Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver meaningful learning activities.
  • Being an active part of a supportive and dedicated team.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication skills in Welsh and English.
  • Can build strong relationships across with pupils.
  • Works flexibly and positively as part of a team.
  • Has a NVQ3 qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience working with students with additional learning needs would be a plus, but it’s not essential.
