About the role

Ready to help shape the future of residential care in Ceredigion?

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Registered Manager to lead Hafan y Waun Residential Care Home in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion’s largest residential care home, with 90 registered places.

Recent Care Inspectorate Wales inspections recognised Hafan y Waun as a well performing service, rating all areas as Good and highlighting the quality of care provided, the commitment of the workforce, and the positive experiences of residents and their families. Building on these strong foundations, we are looking for a leader who can further enhance the quality of care, strengthen partnership working and help establish Hafan y Waun as a sector leading residential care home.

This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership in Ceredigion’s largest residential care home. Working closely with colleagues across social care, health and the wider community, you will drive continuous improvement, develop innovative approaches to care, strengthen partnership working with the local health board and ensure outstanding outcomes for residents.

As part of our commitment to securing outstanding leadership for Hafan y Waun and supporting our ambition to establish the home as a sector leading service, the successful candidate will benefit from:

  • £5,000 one off Recruitment Incentive
  • Up to £8,000 Relocation Package (subject to eligibility criteria)

If you are passionate about nurturing and leading high performing teams, delivering exceptional care and shaping the next chapter of an ambitious service, we would love to hear from you.

Why join Team Ceredigion?

  • Local Government Pension Scheme and Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Extensive learning and development opportunities
  • hybrid working opportunities where service needs allow
  • Access to our Flexi-time scheme
