Ysgol Gynradd Aberporth, Rhiw y Plas, Aberporth, Cardigan, Ceredigion , SA43 2DA

Our school is situated five minutes from the beach in the seaside village of Aberporth on the picturesque Ceredigion coastline.  There are spectacular views of Ceredigion Bay from the grounds of the school.

The schools admits pupils on a full-time basis to the reception class at the start of the term following their fourth birthday.

The school is designated as a ‘Welsh medium school’ in accordance with the Education Authority’s language policy.  This means that Welsh is the main medium for the life and work of the school.  We aim to ensure that all pupils are fully bilingual by the time they transfer to Secondary School.

Our aim is to ensure that each pupil achieves his/her potential in a fully inclusive, happy, safe and Welsh environment.

We have a Specialist Resource centre, Canolfan y Don, at the school for pupils with severe and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Canolfan y Don is an integral part of the school and pupils integrate in to the mainstream during lessons, playtime and lunchtimes and all other school activities.

The school is a close-knit and caring community which ensures a happy and safe environment for all. The dedicated teachers and staff are conscientious; working tirelessly to offer a variety of experiences and a vast amount of opportunities to all learners.

Aberporth Primary School provides high quality teaching and learning. We ensure equality, access to a diverse curriculum and nurture extensive skills to individuals in order to develop their potential as independent, lifelong learners.
