About the role

We are looking to recruit a Relief Catering Assistant to join our catering team at various locations throughout Ceredigion to cover in schools and care homes on a permanent, part time basis.

We are looking for an individual who is motivated and enthusiastic about the nature of the work. The individual must have good communication skills and must be able to carry out various duties with a variable work schedule.

All roles will require flexibility in terms of location and hours worked.

The role includes:

  • general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds;
  • maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times;
  • setting up the tables and clearing as required;
  • recording the temperature of food;
  • ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards;
  • ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling;
  • general Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment.

      We are looking to recruit an individual with:

      • experience/knowledge of working within a catering environment;
      • adaptability.
