About the role

No professional OT qualification required.

Could you help shape the future of Occupational Therapy in Ceredigion?

Are you passionate about improving services, helping teams work effectively and turning good ideas into reality?

Do you have a can do approach, enjoy taking action, coordinating projects, supporting people, solving problems and making things happen?

If so, this could be an exciting opportunity to join our Through Age Occupational Therapy Service.

Our Occupational Therapists are experts in helping people live safer, more independent and meaningful lives. As our service continues to develop, we are looking for a Team Coordinator to provide the organisational, operational and project support needed to drive service improvement.

This is not a clinical role and a professional Occupational Therapy qualification is not required. We are looking for someone with strong coordination, leadership, project management and change management skills who can work alongside experienced practitioners to help deliver positive change for the people of Ceredigion.

The Opportunity:

This is a newly created role within our Through Age Occupational Therapy Service. You will work closely with the Team Manager, Senior Occupational Therapists and Assistant Occupational Therapists to support day-to-day operations and long-term service improvement. No two days will be the same.

One day you might be reviewing performance information, supporting workload coordination and implementing a new initiative. Another day you could be facilitating improvement projects, developing processes, supporting staff or working with colleagues across Targeted Short Term Services (TSTS) to improve how services work together.

This is a highly visible role with genuine influence and the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to Occupational Therapy services in Ceredigion.

Role Purpose

You will:

  • Coordinate operational activity across the Occupational Therapy service.
  • Provide organisational line management and non-clinical supervision for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Support planning, prioritisation and resource coordination.
  • Lead and support service improvement projects.
  • Help design, implement and embed new ways of working.
  • Analyse and monitor performance information to support decision making.
  • Support communication and engagement around change initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Occupational Therapy, TSTS and wider Council services.
  • Help ensure the service operates efficiently, effectively and sustainably.

About the Service

We are passionate about helping people live independent and meaningful lives.

Our Through Age Occupational Therapy Service supports children, adults and older people across Ceredigion. We are known for our supportive culture, collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

We believe great services are built through collaboration. Our Occupational Therapists bring specialist clinical expertise, while this role provides the coordination and improvement skills that help maximise the impact of that expertise.

Organisationally, we are part of Targeted Short Term Services (TSTS), working closely alongside:

  • Technology Enabled Care and Sensory Services
  • Integrated Equipment Services
  • Direct Payments
  • Targeted Care and Enablement Services

Together, these services promote independence, wellbeing and prevention across Ceredigion.

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need to be an Occupational Therapist.

We are interested in people who can demonstrate experience in areas such as:

  • Project management
  • Service improvement
  • Operational coordination
  • Performance monitoring
  • Change management
  • Team leadership and supervision
  • Communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Developing effective systems and processes

Most importantly, you will enjoy working with people, be motivated by positive change and want to make a difference.

Why Join Us?

  • A unique opportunity to help shape the future of Occupational Therapy services in Ceredigion.
  • Work alongside experienced and passionate clinicians and managers.
  • Influence meaningful service development and improvement.
  • Collaborate on wider initiatives across TSTS and Ceredigion County Council.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities.
  • Supportive and forward-thinking colleagues.
  • The opportunity to contribute to services that make a real difference to people’s lives.

If you share our values and are excited by the opportunity to help build something meaningful and impactful, we would love to hear from you.
