At Ceredigion County Council we are transforming the way individuals, families, communities and carers can receive help and support when they need it. Our vision is to ensure positive access to both universal and targeted services so that children and adults can develop the skills and resilience they need to lead fulfilled lives and achieve their goals. We are seeking to empower individuals in what matters to them and work with partner agencies to strengthen people’s independence, ensure safety and promote well-being.

Our Through Age and Well-being Strategy sets out how we will develop a skilled and innovative workforce who will provide through age services that focus on preventative support and early intervention with easy access to information, advice and assistance, proportionate assessment of need and care and support plans for those who need longer term help.

Our aim for Jobs Growth Wales + (JGW+) is to support young people aged 16-18 into employment or progress onto further learning and increase their confidence and motivation through improving their skills and gaining valuable work experience.

The Engagement Strand aims to develop our learners’ employability skills and help them to become healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society, taking responsibility for their wellbeing for life and work.

Learners will focus on employability skills including CV writing, job searches, interview techniques and behaviours and attitudes for the workplace and will work on improving their numeracy, literacy and digital literacy skills.

Our Advancement Strand offers work experience and achievement of vocation-specific qualifications at Level 1 across a range of sectors which will prepare our learners for work in their chosen industry.
