Ceredigion County Council is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Family Information Service Officer to lead the delivery and development of the Family Information Service (FIS) across the county.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children, young people and families by ensuring they have access to accurate, impartial and up-to-date information about childcare, early years services, family support, education, health and community resources. Day to day, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with other Local Authority departments and organisations to ensure a wide range of information is available to families.
  • Respond to enquiries from parents, carers, professionals and partner organisations.
  • Develop and share information about childcare, family support and community services.
  • Manage information published through the Family Information Service website and the Dewis Cymru platform.
  • Promote funded childcare programmes and support families to access the services best suited to their needs.
  • Support statutory duties and contribute to strategic planning activities, including childcare sufficiency work.
  • Monitor service performance and produce reports and information to support service development.
